An Hour of Dancing Feeds Me So I Will Pass on Lunch
YOUR MOST IMPORTANT BUSINESS LUNCH
By promoting dancing for an hour mid-day, it becomes possible to fully embody playfulness, participation and community. Uplifted, you create magic in the rest of your day, and Lunch Beat becomes your week's most important business lunch.
Rule #1 If it's your first time at Lunch Beat, You have to dance!
It all started in a little pink tutu at the age of three. Then from the gay nightclubs of NYC to the underground dance parties of Sydney, Australia to the spiritual dance floor of Ecstatic Dance, Venus French has been grooving around the globe for as long as she can remember. She is on a mission to normalize dance into something that happens where you least expect it, and connect people when they least expect it. Venus loves good food and funky electronic music and is excited to share both of these with you at Lunch Beat Oakland.
Lunch Beat began in Stockholm, Sweden in the summer of 2010 with 14 people dancing in a parking garage on their lunch break. Last month there were more than 700 people gettin' down on the dance floor at Lunch Beat Stockholm. It has now spread to 45 cities in more than 30 countries worldwide. Oakland was one of the first cities in the United States to host a Lunch Beat and Lunch Beat Oakland remains dedicated to promoting connection, health and fun through the international language of dance.
